EM on MARS -Coolest thing I woke up to today !

I got no words! WOW! 🤩😍

Organisational peace

Hey all I happened to listen to a lecture on organisational peace.  It was again introduction to organisational peace. The key points were 1. Spend to reflect on how it is like to reflect on others. 2. All human beings have same needs. 3. Check you're as interested in valuing others need as you're interested in valuing yours. 4. Does other person have a choice in the conversation? Ideally he should. My need is for support. My request is to get it done if it worked for them as well. 5. Acknowledge others need before you answer. First acknowledge then advise. 6. Instead of praise show gratitude stating what need is being met. So far so much

Food makes you feel good

Hey all , I strongly agree that good food has power to impact your mood. Half of the time when I am angry, I am hungry. This weekend , I thought of making my edge my strength and make a 3 course meal!  And tadaaa! Here it is                                  Meal by yours truly !  Being a sweet tooth and a EM leader I was hyper-critical about my desert. It took me alot of persuasion by family and friends to believe it was actually edible and nice.  I don't know, I feel you don't believe it until your mind accepts the fact. Still pondering over it. So far so much

Launch

Hey all Today , mood ON hai ... So more fresh motivating stock on the blog! Stop waiting for things to happen. Often, waiting is a sign that you lack imagination and discipline. You need to take matters into your control and accomplish your own goals instead of waiting around for others to make their moves, or for life situations to favour you. Things like that don't happen , unless you're living inside a bollywood movie. In real life in contrary to reel, the script doesn't favor you if you aren't in the ACTION mode.  Action doesn't mean you have to fake fearlessness; in fact, it can help to keep you honest, grounded and humble by understanding your very own fears. Being vulnerable , accepting your flaws , asking for help SOS means you're on your path . There are millions of tools billion of people hundreds of ways to get going!  Taking action does involve going out of your comfort zone though. Finding balance is the key. Once you've found your right equil...

Appreciating little things

Hey all , Appreciating little things in our own lives and in others is so important. Being less critical or probably giving burger response to people in as palatable way as possible mindfully is important. You don't know what kind of day someone has had.  Comfort level and critic level are two different things . Mindfulness towards it saves the day. Sharing some random social media post to make it sound relevant and believable.  So far So much

Strengths to navigate through edges

Hey all When you take verbs and adjectives for a leader you realise what your edges are and what your Strengths are ... The idea is to navigate strengths to get over edges.  I won't be sharing the list with you all... ( personal hai) . To give you a brief idea I'd like to make my one month goals public.  1.use my sense of humour to recover my reactivity .So ,by the end of the month I intend to be less reactive. 2.I will use my sense of honest expression  by the end of the month intend to before self accepting. 3.I will use my self awareness to be patient and self accepting, gratitude-ful At this hour, yes this made sense to me. So far so much.

Regression

'Regression towards the mean', is the phenomenon that if a variable is extreme on its first measurement, it will tend to be closer to the average on its second measurement-and if its extreme on its second measurement, it will tend to have been closer to the average on its first. I feel, our lives are tipped on the scale with almost equal weights on each side. Things will be good, things will be bad but at the end of it, they somewhat come towards the centre. That is the magic of time. Just like regression to the mean, things are never always all bad or all good, they tend to fall into the familiar droning tic of each day with time. Familiarity lets some people think they're sick of the same circumstances, same people everyday but they've grown accustomed to and comfortable around them. Comfort with people is so underrated. This regression is what brings you hope that no matter how things may seem right now, they're bound to fall back into the middle... -Isa.Khan

mysteries...

Dear Life, There's one thing that attracts me the most about you and that is your mystery. It leaves me inquisitive and questioning the very existence of my being every single time. As much as the twists and the turns are spine wrecking, the mystery has its own pain and beauty... So far so much

Snap Alert

Why is aggression the automatic response when our buttons are pushed? Why do we find ourselves in behaving in ways that horrify our better self and offend our true values? The answer lies in evolution and its shoddy job on the nervous system. Emotionally, we are positively stone-age. Evolution has primed us to respond to threats immediately and unconsciously. It’s how our ancestors survived hostile environments. The heart speeds up and breath quickens. In the brain, control is given to the amygdala, an alarm centre in the ancient midbrain. In a crisis the amygdala shuts down access to our rational lobes, the pre-frontal cortex that is responsible for thinking clearly and making good decisions. Under the influence of the amygdala we react instinctively and habitually: it may save our life in a tight time-frame. The problem is, the brain interprets any threat to our well-being with the same guns-out approach as in the stone-age .   Tax returns, deadlines, hostile workmates, whin...

One of the best things that happened in my life

Hey all, Today onwards I intend to start gratitude posts. Why today? Today happens to be the day I completed my AHA lifesaver instructor course.  Of many things I am thankful for to almighty...This is one of them. There is no better way to give back to society than producing more lifesavers. Being a link in saving a life is so overwhelming. Here are snaps from today's celebration. Excuse my punctuations. So far so much!

Coherence

there is economic injustice and we see this here and everywhere in the world—the disparity between the have’s and the have not’s. What is implied in the Prophetic advice is to bridge the gap; to bring the people together; to address each other’s needs. This is the second step in creating a coherent society.

Peace

Peace is an activity; an action. We have to proactively establish peace. We have to make each other feel welcome. We have to greet each other; hug each other; love each other; know each other. This is the foundation of a healthy community.

Responding to hardships

Hey all There are 3 ways of handling a situation. 1)We feel ourselves incapable of making any change with our hands physically. We can’t stop the bleeding that’s going on. So we give up hope. We feel hopeless. We feel that we can’t do anything. We find ourselves confused not knowing what to do. This feeling of depression is understandable. 2) We often times find ourselves making is a response of trying to ignore the situation. It’s too overwhelming; it’s too painful; so we choose not to watch the media; not to read about what’s going on; not to face the injustice in the world. We find ourselves avoiding the reality on the ground. 3) We often times find ourselves taking is that of being hyper-focused on the issues to the point that we get overwhelmed. We find ourselves fanatically trying to engage with these issues and troubles, and begin to consume every piece of news and follow the every detail of what’s going on in each of these conflicts around the world. Thoughts So despite all of ...

Forever question marks

How do our excitement, commitment, joy, honor and gratitude fit into our resolution? What is our role in a troubled world at a difficult time? Are we ready to break away from the shackles of the past to chart a positive future? Are we ready to rise above the limitations of where we are to the potential of where we could be? Part of reality is to hope for the best but to be prepared for the worst.

Strive

وَأَنْ لَيْسَ لِلْإِنْسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَى () وَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُ سَوْفَ يُرَى “And that a human being attains only what he strives  for, and that his striving will be seen.” (an-Najm, 39-40) إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ “Allah does not change the condition of a people unless they change what is in themselves.” (ar-Ra’ad, 13:11) We are being told in these verses that we need to strive. We also need to take the initiative of changing ourselves for the better rather than blaming others for our state of affairs. So the bottom-line is that we have to work real hard and we have to change ourselves for positive change to occur.

Better way ahead

“And the next life is certainly better for you than the present life.” (adh-Dhuha, 93:4)  Many times when we’re depressed we think: Is this all my life going to be? Is it never going to get better? This verse serves as a perfect answer to those questions, reminding us that life in this world is temporary and that the hereafter is certainly a better, more permanent place for us than this world could ever be. This makes us look forward to attaining our place in Jannah and helps us look at any problems in our lives as temporary tests of our faith from Allah. “Soon your Lord will give you that with which you will be pleased.” (adh-Dhuha, 93:5) That is, although it will take some time, yet the time is not far when your Lord will bless you with so much that you will be well pleased. Very soon Allah will replace our sorrow with good; and He promises us that we will be satisfied with what He gives us. And the promise of Allah is true.  https://www.amda.us/index.php/khutba/406-surat-ad...

Night

“And by the night when it covers with darkness.” (adh-Dhuha, 93:2)   Another relevance of the oath to the subject is that if man is constantly exposed to the light of days it tires him down; so, it is necessary that night should fall after the day has remained bright for a certain period so that man may have rest and peace in it. Likewise, if you are constantly exposed to the light of revelation, your nerves would not stand it. Therefore, break or gap in the revelation has also been provided by Allah on account of expedience so that the effects of the strain of revelation that you have to bear passes away and complete peace is restored to you. https://www.amda.us/index.php/khutba/406-surat-adh-dhuha-a-remedy-for-sadness-and-grief-jan-5-2018

Morning

“By the morning brightness.” (adh-Dhuha, 93:1) This is the first thing we need to hear when we are depressed: Everything in life is not doom and gloom. There is sunshine, there is light, there is beauty. In other words, you just have to look up! Look at the bright-side of things. https://www.amda.us/index.php/khutba/406-surat-adh-dhuha-a-remedy-for-sadness-and-grief-jan-5-2018

Rewiring compos mentis

Hey all , My life and cupboards are parallel these days , both messed up.I have no clue how to organise it! Rewiring Sometimes you have to rewire your mind to help yourself see a little bit clearer version of your state of mind , clear the windows to see the light that shines within. Figuring out As you start walking, the path appears . The diagnosis settles. Once you jump off the plain and tread onto the  uneven terrain, you will thank yourself for doing that because the feeling of being 'born new' gives a high ! Some motivation Dress your bruises and start running again because what happens , happens! You can almost feel Mr.Death looking over your shoulder, smirking as you do all this. Growing up! The maturity to differentiate between a personal attack and constructive criticism is still in progress... No problem is big enough to be unsolvable. No failure means you don't have another chance to try.  Every cardiac arrest is worth a CPR My Love ❤️ Why do I do what I do? I ...
